The Tyrone Area Historical Society is led entirely by volunteers: neighbors, retirees, local historians, and lifelong Tyroners who give their time so the past stays present.

Meet the people behind the Society.
The Society is governed by a volunteer board of directors, elected annually by the membership. Officers serve two-year terms, and directors serve staggered three-year terms. Day-to-day operations, including the museum, the archives, research requests, and our newsletter, are carried out entirely by volunteer committees.
